Gold at 8th Asia Pacific Young Scientist Conference

Nepali youth scientist, a Student of Southwestern State College, Swaraj Sagar Pradhan has won three medals including gold in the 8th Asia Pacific Young Scientist Conference held in Russia. 

Swaraj defeated competitors from 23 countries to win gold medal for his presentation on ‘Use of micro-satellite for global connective, high speed transmission and Data analysis.

He is currently working with his team at SEDS Nepal on a rocket project named “Garuda” which is currently being developed for the Spaceport America Cup 2020. Next, Also with his team at Physics Initiatives in Nepal, They have been forming a closely-knit community of young physics enthusiasts here in Nepal and providing learning as well as networking opportunities for everyone involved. Besides that, they are also working towards breaking the gender imbalance in the fields of STEM with Initiatives for Girls in Physics. Apart from that, He is also into the Model UN Team and advocates Quality Education, reduced inequality, gender equality, affordable and clean energy.

He has created impactful and historical achievement and was recognized for securing the gold medal in the 8th Asia Pacific Conference of young scientists 2019.
