What are the programs that the college has?

SWSC has Master of Business Studies (MBS), Master of Arts (M.A) in English, Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Arts in Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), and Bachelor in Social Work (BSW) courses affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU), and +2 programs in Science and Management, Law and Humanities.

Where is the college located?

SWSC is located at an ideal location for the prospective students with its own land and physical infrastructure. It is in close proximity to Ring Road, at Basundhara in Kathmandu district (Opposite to Basundhara Police Office).

Do you have bus services for transportation?

Yes, SWSC has a fleet of yellow buses that are responsible for picking up and dropping off the students from various locations. We have experienced and responsible drivers, designated caretakers and security guards under our transportation unit.

What library facilities do you provide?

SWSC has an excellent, peaceful, well-facilitated, spacious modern library full of necessary resources for the teachers and students in the college. Due to its facilities and convenience to use, SWSC Library has become the hub among teachers and students in the college. The library is in the second floor of the college. It accommodates 1150 Sq. ft. surface area. The library is easily accessible to all class-rooms and near those departments that use it most. Library resources include book resources, text-books, unit booklets, literary materials, reference materials, periodicals, newspapers, etc. It contains variety of most up-to-date text books in various subjects. Conventional reference books, periodicals and magazines about the current events and various aspects of life showing art, literature, etc. are kept in the library. Proper catalog system, combined and individual study facilities, digital access to national and international periodicals along with friendly and approachable librarians make our library an inviting quiet zone for resource work, reflection and reading. There are over 25000 books available in the library.

What is the condition of the laboratories at SWSC?

SWSC has well-facilitated, modern laboratories rich with all necessary apparatus, instruments and equipment. We have separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT/ Computer, Management, etc.

Do you organize events?

SWSC organizes a lot of events for the overall development of the students. We generally organize events at our own Auditorium Hall. SWSC Auditorium Hall is used as a multi-purpose room with modern necessary equipment and furnishings. It is located on the semi basement to ensure the easy access for both students and the public, reduced sound interference and accessibility to the parking. The hall has the total capacity of 450 audiences. We conduct seminars, orientations, plays, speaker presentations, etc. in the hall. It is the major activities infrastructure of the college. But some events like Welcome and Farewell Programs outside the college.

Do you have Hostel for accommodation?

SWSC does not have its own hostel facilities. But we can recommend you to the hostels in our contact.

What is the fee structure of the college?

The revised fee structure will be conveyed to you by our representatives after your successful completion of the entrance test with scholarship detail.

How can I apply for admission?

How can I get confirmation of registration for admission?

At the end of the registration form when you click submit, a thank you message will appear that confirms you have been registered. Meanwhile you will receive SMS and email confirmation by the next day of your registration, our college representative will call you for verification and will provide further information about the entrance and admission process.

What is the eligibility criteria required for the admission?

  • +2 Science: Minimum C+ in Science and Compulsory Mathematics with GPA 2.4 and above
  • +2 Management, Law and Humanities: Minimum C in Mathematics and Science with GPA 2.2 and above​
  • BBM: Minimum D+ Grade in each subject of Grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.8 or more

Or, Minimum Second Division in 10+2, PCL or Equivalent in any discipline

Must pass the CMAT conducted by TU.

  • BCA: Minimum D+ Grade in each subject of Grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 2.0 or more

Or, Minimum Second Division in 10+2, PCL or Equivalent in any discipline

Must pass the Entrance Examination conducted by TU.

  • BSW: PCL or 10+2 in Science, Management, Law or Humanities, or any equivalent course from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University
  • BBS: +2 or Equivalent in Science or Management
  • MBS: Bachelor’s degree in Management from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University
  • MA (English): Bachelor’s degree in English from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University

Do I need to take a bridge course for entrance preparation?

SWSC offers necessary guidelines and materials for the entrance preparation for the students. It is not mandatory to take any bridge courses for the entrance examinations. We will send you some model practice sets via SMS and email within the next day of registration.

What are the provisions for scholarships?

  1. Merit-based scholarship will be awarded based on your SEE/ +2 GPA.
  2. Internal performance scholarship will be awarded based on GPA/ score in terminal examinations.
  3. Government based scholarship will be awarded based on quota system.
