Orientation Program

Southwestern State College (SWSC) organized an orientation program for the newly admitted Grade XI students of both Science and Management streams on Wednesday, 24 the July 2019 at Yeti Party Palace, Basundhara, Kathmandu. Er. Basudev Bista, the chairman of the college chaired the program. Dr. Rajendra KC, the Principal of the college, Mr. Hari Singh K.C, the Asst. Campus Chief of the college along with Program Director Mr. Tika Ram Mahara and International Relations Coordinator Mrs. Sarita Shakya-Pradhan were present in the event. Mr. Rajendra Prasad Lamichhane, the Program Coordinator of the college anchored the program. The program began with the national anthem followed by the college song. The teaching and non-teaching staffs of the college were then introduced to the newly enrolled students. Mr. Hari Singh K.C, the Asst. Campus Chief gave a welcome speech highlighting the glorious tradition of the academic success of the college so far. Similarly, the Chairman, Principal, Shift-in charges, and HODs all welcomed the new students of Class XI with tika and khada and wished them a
successful academic journey at SWSC. Likewise, Mrs. Sarita Shakya-Pradhan, the International Relations Coordinator talked about the academic program, faculty and co-curricular activities of the college. Mr. Raju Dhakal, Program In-charge of the Science Faculty conducted an oath – taking ceremony for all the newcomers and explained all the rules and regulations of the college to them. A total of 750 students were present in the orientation program. Dr. Rajendra KC, the Campus Chief expressed his view on the importance of quality education in this competitive world. Similarly, Er. Basudev Bista, the chairman extended his thanks to the parents present in the program and said that the college is fully committed to helping students achieve their goals in their respective fields.
