A highly successful guest lecture was hosted by SWSC on December 7th, 2025, providing students with critical insights into the banking industry of Nepal and available career roadmap. The session featured Mr. Bhuvan Dahal, a distinguished former CEO in the banking sector. The talk was specifically organized for BBM and BBS students to bridge academic knowledge with real-world industry demands.
2. Speaker Profile
Mr. Bhuvan Dahal, a Senior Former CEO with decades of experience within the Nepalese banking sector, provided expert commentary and practical guidance derived from his high-level executive career. His extensive career spans over three decades, notably including senior management positions such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Operating Officer during his long tenure at Nabil Bank Limited. He achieved significant recognition during his time as the Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Bank Limited from 2014 to 2022, where the bank became a market leader in Return on Equity. Mr. Dahal also provided critical leadership as the President of the Nepal Bankers’ Association during the challenging COVID-19 period. He has contributed significantly to national policy through his membership in various high-level task forces for Nepal Rastra Bank and the Ministry of Finance, and is the co-author of several books, including “A Handbook of Banking” and "Retirement at 50." He currently serves in leadership roles for philanthropic institutions focused on financial literacy and child health. His insights were particularly relevant to the target audience of BBM and BBS students.
