Social Entrepreneurship training kicks off at Southwestern State College

With a view to impart better and quality applied education in today’s competitive corporate world, Southwestern State College in joint collaboration with the Fil Dr Jan-U Sandal Institute, Norway,  that provides training on various emerging global issues, organized a training program to senior managers and entrepreneurs, freshers and students that kicked off on September 03, 2017.

This training programme is quite innovative, and provides the participants in advancing their knowledge and skills in whicheverfields they are associated with, Dr Rajendra KC, Campus Chief of Southwestern State Collage informed at the starting day. Dr KC informed that Sandal Institute is the globally recognized institute that is engaged in research, development, professional training and social entrepreneurship courses, among others at the global level. Our efforts to bring Sandal Institute in the capital is itself a newapproach and revolutionary thinking of our college management in terms
of thinking globally for the betterment of our participants and students associated with this college for advancing the professionalism and meet an increased demand of the college, Dr. KC

Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal, Professor and trainer of the Institute informed that various 35 courses being offered at the global level. The courses that are practical and highly innovative in the modern
world can be attained with the guidance of the institute, Prof. Sandal informed. He said courses are being officered on various subjects such as innovation, business entrepreneurship and social
entrepreneurship, economic history, humanistic disciplines and the practice of a wide range of different administrative subjects at all levels. Courses are lectured in Norwegian and English in Norway and
across the World, he said.

Prof. Sandal will be giving training on social entrepreneurship in Kathmandu for 10 days to various participants at Southwestern College who are involved in various professional organizations, said Sarita
Shakya Pradhan, Coordinator at SWSC International Relations Division.  A total of 30 participants are taking part who are already gaining professional heights in their respective fields, and this sort of training is an added value in their professional career, She said at the beginning of the session.

According to her, the concentration of the 10-day training course on social entrepreneurship is basically dedicated on thinking out of the box while doing their work linking with economic development and
prosperity of the people in a changed globalized context. At the end of the training, the participants will be awarded the title on Social Entrepreneur IBS which is equivalent to Diploma from the Institute.
